Howard (Pap) Angstadt, born April 11, 1922, recently celebrated his 90th birthday with family and friends. The celebration was held at the home of Dennis & Ella Angstadt of Elgin, Pap’s son and daughter-in-law.
Family came from Maryland and Pennsylvania as well as friends from Union Baptist Church and neighbors visited.
Pap stays at Southwinds Assisted Living; some of his caregivers were in attendance also.
Pap enjoys watching DVD’s from his vast collection, “The Price is Right,” “Judge Judy” and “Diane Sawyer.” He enjoys long walk on the SW’s property, he builds model airplanes that are hung up his suite where he stays at Southwinds and at his son’s home in the hanger.
Howard was a pilot in the US Army Air Force during WWII and spent many hours flying his favorite plane “The Martin B 26.”
